The Capetonians marched into second place in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship after a 32-7 bonus-point victory over Glasgow Warriors.
Meanwhile, the Sharks moved into fourth following a hard-fought 28-23 win over Leinster, strengthening the Durbanites’ playoff hopes ahead of Saturday’s clash with Connacht. The Vodacom Bulls remained eighth on the URC log after outplaying Benetton 46-29 Loftus Versfeld, and will host Glasgow on Friday.
The Lions were the only South African team to lose at the weekend, a narrow 33-30 defeat by Connacht ending a four-game unbeaten run at Ellis Park, and will hope to bounce back against Benetton.
They have been playing very well, but referee and TMO mistakes have consequences. Add pts to Ulster on league table and subtract 3 from Stormers, and you see what I mean. Ulster may miss out on home semi-final.
Fill that stadium for the stormers!!
