Ahead of the Bulls debut game in the Champions Cup, loose forward Marco van Staden has warned his teammates to expect some tough matchups in the competitions.

The Bulls will make their first bow in the Champions Cup tomorrow when they welcome French side Lyon to Loftus Versfeld .

The Bulls took a chance on Van Staden, giving him a contract amid the uncertainty of whether he’ll ever play again. The man known as"Eskom", is switched on at the moment unlike his namesake, the national power utility. “The Champions Cup is the toughest club competition in the world, I played a few games when I was at Leicester, it’s a very tough competition,” said Van Staden when speaking to the media.
