South Africa Headlines News

South Africans should brace for permanent stage 2 and 3 load-shedding for the next two years.

That's according to Eskom chair Mpho Makwana and CEO Andre de Ruyter, who addressed media on current challenges facing the power utility on Sunday.

Makwana said permanent load-shedding is needed to allow the utility time for much-needed maintenance to the constrained system and to provide consistency in outages for South Africans.the new board had met 50 times in its first 112 days in office and a new plan to boost its power plants was approved in December.

“wE cAn FiX lOaDsHeDdInG iN 6 mOnThS” Yoh if blowing hot air was lucrative Eskom would be supplying electricity to the world. A new story every day. Yerrrr. Liars

So now they are sure generators won't break or be strained

Not gonna happen. The MYANC should brace that they ain't gonna govern

This is unbelievable 😳 really...infact I'm so confused cause every month we bought electricity, I don't understand why should this affect us.

Pathetic!!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬

With a price increase 🤔

The money and the technology is there to fix the problem in 6 months

Eishdom!!! Collect money owing, build solar, nuclear, coal…..? Purchase diesel? Make a PLAN!!!!

Unless we remove them from power

Lol

Makes sense. This is just the beginning (of the end). Every so often they'll escalate it to higher stages. Remember the tale of the frog in boiling water?

We cannot accept this mediocre of permanent stage 2 or 3 load shedding. We once ended load shedding, and we can do it in 6 months time

Expect near-permanent load shedding for the next 2 years: EskomEskom says South Africans need to get ready for permanent load shedding. Imo anyone who objected against the nuclear deal has no right to complain about power shortage. If we allowed the nuclear deal with Russia to go forward we wouldn’t be in this mess would we? Truckloads of coal are leaving to the ports for export to Europe. Someone needs to inform the MYANC that darkest Africa is a figure of speach and should not have become goverment policy!
