Springboks face a challenging test season as Jasper Wiese receives a six-game ban, adding to an already extensive injury list.

Jasper Wiese, who was considered a natural successor to Duane Vermeulen, has received a six-game ban.

The English Rugby Football Union stated, “He was shown a red card for lifting another player off the ground and dropping or driving that player so that their head and/or upper body makes contact with the ground, contrary to World Rugby Law 9.18.” Adding to the team’s woes, Damian Willemse has torn hand ligaments and will be out for four months. Steven Kitshoff is also likely to miss the start of the season due to a knee injury.Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus faces additional challenges as the Wales test falls outside the international test window. This timing coincides with the final day of the season, including the URC and other finals.
