South African officials are meeting their Ukraine counterparts in an effort to convince them to invite Russian officials to talks about the peace plan.

Pandor said the war between Russia and Ukraine “will only end through negotiation because of the concerns of security on both sides”. South Africa wants to be “in a position where we can engage both”, she said. in the conflict. “Are you on the side of good or evil,” he said on Tuesday at a conference outside Johannesburg organised by think tank Democracy Works about returning Ukrainian children who were forcibly resettled in Russia.“We are here to appeal to you, one of the most powerful countries in Africa,” Yushchenko said, as his wife, Kateryna, interpreted his words to English.
