'This tribunal is a swift mechanism to claw back every cent that was stolen from the fiscus.'

Justice and correctional services minister Ronald Lamola says the special tribunal will boost the government’s fight against corruption, fraud and illicit money flows.A Special Investigating Unit tribunal set up to recover R14.7bn stolen from the state will be fully operational as of Tuesday, October 1.

He said the tribunal would boost the government’s fight against corruption, fraud and illicit money flows. The department said judge Gidfonia Mlindelwa Makhanya would chair the tribunal full-time, and would be supported by seven other judges. Earlier this year, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the establishment of the tribunal, which he said was an effort to fast-track the recovery of funds lost to the state from corruption or irregular spending.

Talk is cheap

Swift? Meaning 2 years with no recoveries and no criminal action taken and the guilty parties ( cadres deployment) just moved to another position with an increase and more opportunities to loot

Ok but how much is this tribunal going to cost?

Another dreaming minister🤣🤣

Fastest business to claim back the cash is vfs,its a massive scam

Another tribunal and still no Zuma in jail?

So how much is this going to cost us? Zondo has cost a fortune already, and not an orange suit to be seen...

Same people that steal money are coming up with strategies on how to stop those stealing money. That's why you never hear of arrests but commissions & tribunals. Some jokes write themselves.

Joy_wa_Afrika Commissions, tribunals........ ARREST THEM DAMMIT! PUT THEM IN JAIL AND STOP WASTING MONEY THE TAX PAYER DOESN'T HAVE! 😡😠

Great stuff, eventually

I hope they start to investigate their every own.
