Oil has been on a wild ride, trading in the mid $90s in September, spiking again after the war in the Middle East but then trading below $80 earlier in the week. I asked Petri Redelinghuys of Herenya Capital Advisors if we could see it back down to the low $70s? He thinks we could, even if it seems counterintuitive.Back in September, we had a guest talk on the new offshore limits for Reg 28 funds and how it was hurting the economy and the JSE.

He says, ultimately, it’s good for the economy and investors.There is lots of talk about converting office buildings into residential, and I spoke with Greg Blend from Africrest, which is doing just that. The process is not always simple, but he says the returns are great if you find the right building.I spoke with Chris Eddy from 10X Investments about tactical investing, whereby an investor goes overweight a certain style or sector of the market.
