South Africans have joined thousands globally to speak up against racism after the murder of George Floyd.

The death of George Floyd in the US has sparked protests across the globe as thousands speak up against racism.South Africans continue to take to Twitter to speak out against racism as the global community seethes with anger following the murder of an African American man, George Floyd, by a white police officer.

As protesters across the globe take to the streets to demand an end to racism, and to show solidarity with Floyd's family, many in SA have shared their experiences with racial discrimination and are calling on other people to speak up. and died on Monday last week while he was restrained by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who pressed his knee against his neck for almost 10 minutes. Floyd was suspected of passing a fake dollar bill at a local shop.

On Twitter, many are not only calling for the oppressors to change, but also for those who remain silent in the midst of racism to speak up.

Isn't it amazing that the rest of the world is pretending even Germany kodwa Africa is silent. Think about it, Germans were so racist that they did something about it and killed millions. Nakuba kunjalo they still said no, US racism or should I say genocide is out of control

Racism wont be stopped while there are racist laws in place. Racism wont stop when the minority are accused of racism while the majority who are far more over with their racism, are let off the hook. Racism wont stop when the majority vote for a ruling party that destroys

SA shouldn’t weigh in on what’s happening in the USA when our own doorstep if rucking with filthy. His death was overdue justice should have come early and saved those families grief from his actions.
