The Sharks spending spree continues but until they get a world class No 10, they will be more pretender than contender when it comes to winning titles,Make no mistake, Sharks CEO Eduard Coetzee, is starting to put together a powerful first-choice unit with Vincent Tshituka the latest signing. The Lions loose-forward has been on fire in the United Rugby Championship, but loose-forward isn’t necessarily where the Sharks have been found wanting in the URC and in the Currie Cup.

Bringing back former Sharks midfielder Andre Esterhuizen would have been a coup. I do believe Esterhuizen was a target for Coetzee but the bustling South African No 12, so strong for Harlequins in the past two seasons, has extended his stay in the London. The Bulls, of the four South African franchises, have best gone about maximising a one-squad system, in which two teams have played in the URC and Currie Cup, but often there has been a very big URC match-day component in the Currie Cup. It has ensured the Bulls being a top two Currie Cup team, whilst they have also made the URC play-offs.

mark_keohane And a coach with pedigree

mark_keohane Agreed!

mark_keohane Because Keo knows better than the Sharks management team, of course🤣

mark_keohane Unfortunately Bosch has never recovered from that Currie cup final. He has talent and is a good player, just lost his BMT. The longer he stays at the sharks the deeper his funk will get. Give him a season or two overseas and he will be ripping up trees again.

mark_keohane Whatever Mark, can't wait for Curwin to prove you wrong. When Esterhuizen was around Curwin was running that backline..

mark_keohane Bosch was the leading scorer during the cancelled 2020 SR season, he was the top scorer in SR Unlocked, he was the top scorer in the 2020-21 Currie Cup season, and he's the second highest scorer in the URC. The idea of him not being good enough is a fiction created by the media.

mark_keohane I agree with Keo for once ,Bosch is not the answer at 10. Blows too hot and cold....

mark_keohane The usual Keo drivel, you should stop linking to it. Where are his suggestions for an alternative? What are the weaknesses he'd want to correct in Bosch's game? How does he see Bosch or his replacement playing in the new Sharks team? It's weak to criticize without going deeper.

mark_keohane Curwin bosch is good enough for sharks.I disagree with mark_keohane.He is playing superb rugby at the moment.
