Hunter bolted through the driveway gate when the suspects fled in her vehicle. “We were assaulted and my dog went after the robbers and they hit him, kicked him, and hurt him.

As soon as they opened the gate to steal my car, he ran out. My boyfriend and I ran but couldn’t find Hunter anywhere,” said Van Heerden.

“He ran to the vehicle and I opened the windows and he jumped in. I drove to the panic alarm and the owners of the property were out looking for the dog. I waited there and the dog was with me in the vehicle,” he said.
