The Western Cape government has expressed disappointment over the department of home affairs' revised “red list”, saying it is killing the province's key source markets for tourism.

This week, the department reviewed the list of high-risk countries that are restricted from entering SA under the country’s level 1 lockdown rules.

According to department, the review of the list was done in such a way that “it strikes a balance between saving lives and protecting livelihoods”. The current regulations allow business travellers, holders of critical skills visas, investors and people on an international mission in sports, arts, culture and science from high-risk countries to enter SA with a negative polymerase chain reaction test, but not leisure travellers.

Mkhize concerned by 42% spike in Covid-19 cases in CapeSouth Africa faces a high risk of resurging coronavirus infections that may lead to a review by the council deciding on lockdowns, after new cases rose by 42% in Western Cape province in the last two weeks, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said. How many patients died in the last 24 - 48 hours? The answer is 0. They are just itching to lock us down again for nothing. This man's is meant to be isolation yet his chopping to the media. Tats you are causing problems for us. Its literally already on its way down again he's lying/manipulating the data. That was because of an outbreak and a increase in testing that is directly proportional to the rise in cases. Average deaths in WC are now 4. eNCA SABCNews News24 stop reporting propaganda
