But"impatient" child support grant beneficiaries could not wait for the April 1 and descended upon payment channels as early as March 30, said Sassa chief executive Busisiwe Memela on Wednesday.
"There was also a nasty scene in a Dobsonville shopping centre in Soweto, where a group of youngsters were captured on video pushing older people in order to access payment infrastructure first," she said. "To effect this, Sassa will make use of two payment files. The first one will cover the aged and the disabled, while the second payment file will cover all other grant types," said Memela.
Total shame.
Someone once said to me: 'perhaps the only thing that can make our people see the ANC 4 what they are is if 1 day they suddenly tempered with their SASSA grands' this should serve as an eye opener to our people.
There is absolutely no sense in this. Their just delaying the rush...
This is crazy why delay paying people who need it the most that's being cruel 4days it's like 4 months to them. It just how detached our government is. No consultation whatsoever they just decide the least u could have done was to bring it forward
I'm glad I've been looking forward to this long time ago.
They are late
Why not 4 days earlier? Rather than later! Whose smoking 🚬 rooibos at parliament!
What about som of us cz w liv with this money as w speak now we dnt have 6th t will b when?
Clearly lockdown will be extended
An indication of a possible lockdown extension, perhaps.
