Sasha-Lee Walton, second princess of 1991 Miss South Africa pageant, has passed away

confirmed that the former Miss South Africa contestant who lived in Cape Town took her own life on Tuesday, at the age of 54.

Sasha-Lee was named second princess – runner-up to Amy Kleynhans, who was first princess – in Miss South Africa’s 1991 pageant. She was previously married to two former Springbok rugby players, James Dalton, and Lance Sherrel. Sasha-Lee and James Dalton, during their marriage, welcomed their son, Daniel, who is now 14. Taking to Instagram to mourn the great loss, Dalton wrote:

‘RIP-You are now at Peace and Free….. enjoy Heaven…sure Lynn will be at peace too with you now in Heaven together. I am so 😭. This world makes us bitter, I forgive you, hope you can forgive me too. Long live our memories together and the day Daniel was born. Love your Bully xoxo.’, Walton lost her mother, Lynn, to cancer in 2017. Subsequently, the beauty queen shared that her mother’s death had hit her hard, in a post on social media.‘You don’t move on after loss, but you must move with.
