South African Police Service members have arrested two suspects on two separate occasions in Malmesbury and Milnerton for illegal possession over the previous weekend, according to
Members of the Malmesbury police arrested an adult male for the illegal possession of a firearm in Langa Libalala Street on Sunday, 28 April, after they received information that the suspect was involved in a business robbery and was in possession of a firearm at the mentioned address.A search of the premises was conducted and a 9mm pistol and ammunition were confiscated, with the suspect due to appear in the Malmesbury Magistrates’ Court once he has been charged.
Later, members of the Milnerton Crime Prevention Unit arrested a 38-year-old foreign national when he was caught with drugs in Rugby, Milnerton, on Saturday evening, 27 April. The members responded to information involving drugs that were being sold at an address in Husser Road and a search ensued of the identified premises.
Mandrax tablets, crystal meth and an ‘undisclosed amount of cash’ believed to be the proceeds of crime were confiscated by the Crime Prevention Unit members
