SANDF's Armed Forces Day capability demo cancelled after heavy rain

Heavy rain in KwaZulu-Natal has led the South African National Defence Force to cancel its Armed Forces Day capability demonstration.

SANDF spokesperson Brig-Gen Andries Mokoena Mahapa said after consultation with relevant authorities it was decided to cancel because of theThe persistent rain had a negative affect on ground conditions at the Naval Island venue, making it difficult and risky for spectators.

Bet they’re breathing a sigh of relief…

How are these demonstrations helping us? Police are complaining abt shortage of men power and the country is becoming a mafia state, our army is fixated with making demonstrations.

I feel like these guys are doing far less for South Africans. Illegal immigrants are taking over the country.

It would’ve been an embarrassment anyway….. so thank the rain Gods
