SA's health emergency | Fallout over top surgeon's suspension

Tim de Maayer was suspended after lifting the lid on the terrible state of hospitals in the province. In a hard-hitting letter, De Maayer says after 21 years in the public sector, things are falling apart.Health MEC Nomathemba Mokgethi is set to meet with the Rahima Moosa hospital CEO on the suspension.Source

Why isn't the RahimaMoosaHospital's CEO being suspended instead of DrTimDeMaayer?! He was not only doing his job, but going beyond the call of duty to protect his patients; while under this CEO's watch, the hospital is falling apart! Where is the accountability?!!

Meanwhile parliament can approve a 22 million flag. A 15 million rand stadium & a 3 billion rand water project which by the way was never completed. While our hospitals are a disgrace.

Politicians and Public servants must be forced to utilise State hospitals. Watch how quick it will be fixed.

Good question by the surgeon to health officials and politicians:How do they sleep at night knowing that they are failing the people of SA.
