Public healthcare workers dispersed into the buzzing streets of Yeoville as Africa's worst virus-hit country rolled out mass door-to-door testing for COVID-19.

"They've been coming for screening and they are even open to testing if they have symptoms," Dlomo said. "The health of our people is our first consideration," said Kegorapetse Ndingandinga, overseeing the Yeoville team. With his head tilted back, 58-year-old Michael Moshone, braced for his nasal swab, seated on a brick staircase in Yeoville.

But for Health Minister Zweli Mkhize that number is too low for a country of 57-million people where several millions have underlying conditions such as HIV and TB.The turnout was slow on the first day, Dlomo said.It reminds him of the early 1990s when HIV first emerged in the country, which now has the world's highest HIV prevalence rate.

I want to see after testing how many are positive

Here we go kill us white people your boy has sold us to you

Hope these test kits r virus free? Heard that some test kits rcvd in UK were contaminated wit the coronavirus? Also is this a way to collect people's DNA? Which will/may be used in the global DNA database? How accurate r the tests? Does it show how much virus is in the patient?

Very brilliant...if possible to deploy them like Voting Stations!

What for? A sick person can take themselves to a doctor/clinic. Justifying wasting taxpayers' money?
