The Sharks have ramped up their recent player negotiations by securing the services of an inspirational figure for the Durbanites on a long-term deal.

The 23-year-old Buthelezi has enjoyed an impressive start to his career at the Sharks since his senior debut in 2019 and remains a promising future talent for the Durban side.

A former SA Schools representative and Junior Springbok skipper, the Durban High graduate has featured for the Sharks in Super Rugby, the Vodacom United Rugby Championship, the Champions Cup and the Currie Cup and captained the team on several occasions.
