Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena is aware that Surpise Ralani's signing brings a lot of question marks, but he explained the club's decision to acquire the services of the former Cape Town City attacker. Sundowns announced Ralani as their first January transfer window signing and the player has been getting stuck in during their camp in Rustenburg, where they have played some friendly matches against the likes of Platinum City Rovers and Jwaneng Galaxy from Botswana to prepare for what's going to be a busy final few months of the campaign. Ralani signed an 18-month deal with the reigning league champions, but a big concern has been his age.
"Ralani's recruitment clearly brings a lot of question marks. particularly because of his age. But in football the most important thing in recuirtment is always try to bring the right player. Sometimes the right player is not a player between a certain age. The right player sometimes is because of the needs of the team and how do you improve the quality and the strength of the team," Mokwena said via the Sundowns media department.
