Reports suggest that if Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi is appointed by Kaizer Chiefs , then he plans to bring in his own technical team, including two assistant coaches, a goalkeeper coach, a fitness trainer, and a video analyst.
"It works both ways. As a player who was not playing under the previous coach it becomes a motivation because you believe that the new coach will give you a second chance. But the other side of the coin is that those players who were playing under the previous coach feel like things will change for the worse for them. So, if a coach changes the whole technical team and brings his own assistant coaches and other members it works both ways," Rooi told Soccer Laduma.
Rooi also emphasized the importance of maintaining local influence within the coaching staff, especially for a club with the stature and cultural significance of Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates. "I understand the coach who is supposed to come in has studied African football and he knows how to handle players even if he comes with his own technical team but I think at a team like Chiefs or Pirates you need someone who has been there. Someone who knows the local game to work with a foreign coach.
