"It was the hardest project I've ever worked on in my life", said Scottish BMX rider Kriss Kyle, while also calling it a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity". Yeah, well, not everyone has the guts and gall to perform daring stunts on a floating skate park more than 2 000 feet in the sky, Kyle. The 31-year-old high-rider completed the world-first stunt, called Don't Look Down when he rode around a custom-made bowl suspended by one of the UK's largest hot air balloons.
Thankfully, the BMX freestyle artist had the sense to wear a parachute while he performed multiple highly technical tricks as the bowl swung around and floated from Charlton Park Estate in Wiltshire over the Cotswolds, per Sky News: "All through riding that little bike, I was like, 'this is one that I'll be taking to the grave'." Jeez, the dude even makes daring statements.
