Three decades of democracy have demonstrated that our PR system is susceptible to corrupt political rent-seeking and has slowly eroded the wishes of voters keen on voting for issues close to their hearts, writesPosters are up and campaigns are in full swing for the 29 May election. Over 200 political parties are expected to contest this election. We are going to choose who goes to Parliament using the proportional representation system, which has been in place since 1994.
