On this day in 1960, 69 people were killed and hundreds more injured when police opened fire on protesters.

President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered the keynote address at the Human Rights Day commemoration at George Thabe Cricket Pitch, Sharpeville.marking 59 years since the Sharpeville Massacre.

Remember Marikana too.

Ramaphosa said they have the best constitution in the world. It may be well written. Why do the ANC government choose to ignore it when it comes to corrupt ministers and SOE boards that have robbed the country. And there was no mention of Marikana which happened on their watch.
