JOHANNESBURG - ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa says ANC Youth League members should model themselves after Peter Mokaba, the late ANC youth league leader and struggle stalwart.This after his keynote address was delayed by battles over accreditation.The president eventually spoke outside the Jack Botes Hall in Polokwane.

Ramaphosa said he's inspired by some of the proposals being made by youth in Limpopo to tackle unemployment and skills shortages.

We are not Peter Mokaba, we represent a different generation. We dare to be different!

He wasn't woke

The same way Mr mokaba wouldn't be happy with how you are handling the youth with money to fight your factional battles.

He didn't have to be. The youth then had their generational mission which he fulfilled. We have ours and we can't be told by elders how to engage on issues that have nothing to do with them.

It has been an embarrassment going to elections without youth league - RamaphosaRamaphosa called on young people to emulate Mokaba if they are to have an organisation that engages in meaningful conversations that will build the country instead of just releasing insulting statements on social media.
