The race is on to get as many elderly people registered ahead of the second phase of vaccinations starting on Monday.

With confirmation of a resurgence in COVID-19 cases in the Western Cape, health authorities are concerned about vaccine hesitancy.Health officials and even the premier are taking to the streets to encourage senior citizens to register.

Western Cape Health MEC Nomafrench Mbombo says the province is on track to start vaccinating older persons from Monday.
