It's been a busy week for Prince Harry who announcing the 2022 Invictus Games before carrying out two engagements on Thursday.

"Having previously been held in London, Orlando, Toronto, Sydney, and upcoming The Hague this year in May – Düsseldorf will welcome over 500 competitors as they showcase their talents, determination and camaraderie to the world," the Instagram post continues.

The Invictus Games is an international adaptive multi-sport event in which wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and veterans show the world what they're capable of in a series of adaptive sports, ranging from wheelchair basketball to indoor rowing. It plays a big role in healing recovering servicemen and women, and is a cause close to the Duke of Sussex's heart, having spent 10 years serving in the armed forces.

The Duke created the annual event in 2014 to shed light on rehabilitation through sport while showing a wider appreciation for those who serve their country. Prince Harry will be spending a lot of time in the Netherlands this year for the 2020 Games, but before then he'll be staying in the UK carrying out various engagements while Meghan does the same in Canada.– Harry will host the Rugby League World Cup Live Draw from Buckingham Palace. He also helped launch a Mental Fitness Charter with The Rugby League World Cup 2021.
