Justice and Correctional Services Minister, Ronald Lamola says they will look into the union's demands.

Popcru marched on the Union Buildings earlier, threatening to down tools if its demands are not met.

Ramola said,"we have to take them through the process of government in the bargaining council, also the cabinet to process some of the issues which have been raised, but some of them we can be able to process them as Correctional Services, which are related to it." "Like issues of inmates working which they already doing as we speak, the issues of uniform we already have a production site."

"There's a number of them which I think we can be able to resolve them in a positive way. There ones related to financial implication need a further processing within national treasury and whole of government."

Adding even more general disgrace to law enforcement in SA - don’t deserve a cent!
