Police say the motive for the murder is not known at this stage and is being investigated.

Police in Humansdorp in the Eastern Cape have asked the community for information which may assist them to arrest a suspect who shot dead a teenager in the town during the early hours of Saturday morning.

It was alleged that the teenager was standing outside a residence in Rosyntjie Street, Gill Marcus, Humansdorp, when an unknown person fired several shots at the child.
