The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, has commended members for the breakthrough following a horrific incident in which a victim’s hands were hacked off by his assailants last week. Police arrested three suspects, aged between 20 and 55 at Vosman on Wednesday night, 27 March 2024. The three arrested suspects face charges of attempted murder involving a 30-year-old man.

After the incident occurred on 20 March 2024, Mpumalanga Tracking Team, Vosman Detectives, Tactical Response Team , Vosman Crime Prevention Unit, Middelburg Flying Squad, Criminal Record Centre , Investigative Psychology Unit and Tracker Company have been hard at work and they collaborated their efforts in sought of suspects.

On Wednesday night, 27 March 2024 it was proven that indeed hard work pays off as the team tactfully managed to corner the three suspects.
