For nine years, Francisco Loureiro and his company, Tulisa Cables, had to fight to prove their innocence, spending millions on legal fees as they tried to maintain their reputation as a legitimate business.

As one of the smaller electrical cable providers in the Alberton area of the East Rand, the company was swept up in a massive probe launched by the Competition Commission investigating price fixing and collusion in the industry.
