KwaZulu-Natal police nabbed three alleged drug dealers in Phoenix, Durban, on Thursday and confiscated drugs worth almost R2m.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane said the early morning raid was part of an intelligence-driven operation. "The police officers raided premises suspected to be manufacturing drugs in Phoenix. Three suspects aged between 30 and 48 were arrested and will appear in the Verulam Magistrate's Court soon."Three two-way radios, 24 096 heroin capsules, 809 crack cocaine pieces, 1 068 mandrax tablets, 1.5kg of heroin powder, four bags of cocaine, 287 ecstasy pills, one unlicenced firearm and various ammunition were recovered.The cash seized during the raid.
