wendyknowler The phone technology has advanced so much to become backward compatible to static SAA

wendyknowler Wow, so SAA did achieve something...ground breaking news !!! Amazing.

That’s if the airline is still operating 😳

SAA still has flights?

maggsnaidu Is this the sign of recovery for SAA? Hope so and good news indeed!

maggsnaidu Don't worry, we haven't been switching them off anyway

maggsnaidu 😂😂 as SAA goes offline we can go online 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

maggsnaidu If a cellphone could actually bring down a plane , it would never have been allowed on board. This has always been an extremely silly rule.

This is old news. Just new to the public

And we can also carry our cellphones at work 😂😂

I've never switch off mine in the three years of flying, in all airlines.

Thank you SAA

My phone has never been off

Because the planes will be on the ground - permanently?

lol they've never been off in-flight 🤷🏾‍♂️

.thulasindi great news

I’ve never switched it off.

I've been with many many different airlines for the past 5 years where phones were allowed to be online, bar take off and landing Welcome to the 21st century SAA

Does SAA still have the money for these luxuries?

Yes because all SAA flights will hopefully be grounded and tax payers money won’t be wasted any longer..

The funny thing is, no matter the status of your phone, when you have reached altitude, no signal comes through. Cellphone bases are on the ground. I am sure SAA sees the potential of people buying their inflight data as a way of reviving their financial situation

I never switched off my phone whilst in the plane.

Are you Ok with BAIL OUTS...

Already received bailout from government?

Heyi ba re bolaya yanong!
