Phase two of presidential employment stimulus gets R11bn boost - The Mail & Guardian

The latest injection was announced at a media briefing by the minister in the presidency, Mondli Gungubele, together with Employment and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi and Public Works Minister Patricia de Lille. that during phase one, more than 550 000 jobs and livelihoods had been supported, with the overall target being 694 120 work opportunities.

Stats SA also found that the labour market was more favourable for men than women. The official unemployment rate for women was at 36.8%, compared with 32.4% for men.
