A man in his 40s is in a critical condition in hospital after being knocked over by a truck on Springs Road in Benoni, Ekurhuleni on Saturday afternoon, paramedics said.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find a man in the road having suffered multiple injuries, ER24 spokesman Ross Campbell said.

“Advanced life support interventions were administered on route to the Tambo Memorial Hospital in Boksburg. SAPS [South African Police Service] were on the scene for further investigation,” Campbell said.
