The Metro FM host ruffled some feathers this week when she weighed in on the government's decision to lift the ban on the sale of alcohol on level 3 of the lockdown, which is expected to start on June 1. Pearl weighed in on the matter on Monday, during her lunchtime radio show 'Lunch with Thomas and Pearl'.
Others said the ban hardly makes a difference, as people are already buying the goods through illicit means.

On a serious note we are anticipating the relaxing of the lockdown to increase cases of Covid. Yes Alcohol wil probably make it worse BUT people have been drinking sis behind the government's back. This way in a controlled way, maybe ppl will actually stay at home and drink there

Y'all forgot that in the first 2 weeks of lockdown alot of people still had alcohol but alot of people still followed the rules. If people break the rules I feel it's not due to alcohol. I think it's because people are just gatvol🤷🏾♂️
