Suspended Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane's advocate Dali Mpofu SC insists the legal team did not"walk out" of her parliamentary impeachment inquiry after failing to get it postponed – but his claims did not convince MPs. "Did we walk? Yes, we walked. Did we go out? Yes, we went out, But did we stage a walkout? No, we did not," Mpofu stated in an address to the Section 194 committee investigating Mkhwebane's fitness to hold office on Wednesday.

"We left and we were out, yes.
