Orlando Pirates star SNUBBED From latest Bafana Bafana squad!

Having finished third to earn a bronze medal at Afcon, Bafana will try to get to the World Cup. Their next assignment in that regard will be a trip away toto take on Nigeria on the 7th of June. This will be a grudge match for Broos’ charges who will want to get revenge after their penalties loss.

Four days later, Bafana will take on Zimbabwe on home soil, with Bloemfontein set to be the venue. In preparation for those fixtures, Broos has named a preliminary squad, which will be cut down before the trip to Nigeria. And just like any other squad selection, there are both inclusions and omissions which make interesting talking points. This time around, the biggest omission has to be that ofMabasa has been banging in the goals for fun, since his return to Pirates in January.

But in true Broos style, he has made a controversial exclusion, deciding to stick with the fit again Makgopa. With the form that Mabasa has shown since January, one would’ve expected that he would at least make the preliminary squad.
