Thursday proved to be a relatively quiet transfer deadline day, with most teams having conducted their business early thanks to the extended window.
Barring Mamelodi Sundowns, who confirmed the signing of Moroccan defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil, it was Pirates who pulled off the biggest surprise of the day. The Buccaneers completed the signing of Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo from Marumo Gallants in what came as a complete shock; however, that was not the only business the Buccaneers conducted on the day.
