The Buccaneers have confirmed signing Tapelo Xoki from AmaZulu, as reported by the Siya crew, as well as Nkosinathi Sibisi from Golden Arrows. Both players are highly rated centre-backs and are in their late 20s.
Xoki, 27, amassed 38 appearances in all competitions for Usuthu in their 2021/22 campaign, while Sibisi, 26, was one of the consistent players for Abafana Bes'thende with 24 appeareances. Having parted ways with former Bafana Bafana and Bidvest Wits captain Thulani Hlatshwayo, Bucs have strengthened the defence with two equally good players in Xoki and Sibisi. "Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm they have reached an agreement with Golden Arrows for the transfer of Nkosinathi Sibisi.
"The Buccaneers have agreed a deal with Abafana Bes'thende, and the player himself, that will see the 26-year-old defender move to Orlando Stadium when the transfer window re-opens on July 1st.
