In my opinion I think they buckled to pressure, it was about service delivery and the conversation turned to race. Municipal elections should clearly remain about service, but there has been lots of game playing in this Arena with all the political parties!
The majority of those on social media and the public in general were not wrong. Nandos read the room correctly. Every racist platform should be outlawed in South Africa. There are some who have taken freedom of speech too far and they think that people will keep quiet.
Does this mean that the believes that a corporate company should continue to sponsor a DJ who believes that a Black woman's experiences are anecdotal and unimportant? (Don't reply to me saying it was an opinion piece. They have published it.)
