OPINION: AdriaanBasson of News24 and Ferial Haffajee at the Daily Maverick are part of a grouping of media houses and journalists that have decided to, at all costs, protect Pravin Gordhan.

Adriaan Basson, the editor-in-chief of News24, recently published a piece suggesting the National Prosecuting Authority should criminally prosecute those private sector executives, who appear to be implicated in some form of criminal misconduct at the helm of their corporations. It’s not a bad idea.

Companies such as Steinhoff, Regiments, Tongaat Hulett, Murray & Roberts, Nemai Consulting et al and their top brass, should be brought to book if they are guilty.

AdriaanBasson You challenge AdriaanBasson to prove Sekunjalo is a scam, or admit it was fake news. You then proceed to make claims that News24 and DM are pro-Gordhan based on what exactly? Your 'sources' that 'reliably indicate'? GTFOH 🤣😂🤣😂

AdriaanBasson Everyday this network seems to be going further in the direction of ANN. I don’t know how to feel about that.

AdriaanBasson I’m impartial so like, I’m not really bothered about the actual fact. But I’m pretty sure this is more conspiracy theory than opinion? Who has blurred the line?

They are making the poor poorer. Typical capitalist attitude. By the way I am also a capitalist but retired from the rat race. I see things from a totally different perspective now. Because they want maximum profits they are used to. Should the have said the prices are too low, would have had increased the prices already by now 🤔🤔🤔
