The exploitation of women in the workplace remains rife, Employment and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi said.

BRITS - The exploitation of women in the workplace remains rife, Employment and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi said on Tuesday.

The blitz will focus on the farming, wholesale and retails sectors. Inspectors are set to investigate compliance with the labour laws. "We cannot be talking about white monopoly capital must comply but, we do not comply...I think that exploitation is worse in the informal economy. You clock in at six in the morning and knock off at ten o' clock at night. People in some of these areas work like slaves and we must be consistent and see wrong things regardless of who is employed."
