A Nigeria legend has now seemingly thanked Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali for breaking his "curse". Nwabali shot to fame at the recent 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after playing an instrumental role in the Super Eagles ' run to the final, which was their first since 2013. As such, he has been widely touted as one of the best goalkeepers to emerge for Nigeria since Vincent Enyeama , who retired in 2015 with 95 caps under his belt.
Enyeama himself has now thanked the 27-year-old DStv Premiership star for breaking a "curse" that is intimately associated with him after retiring.
