News24 projects: ANC on 57%, DA declines and EFF grows SAElections2019 ElectionResults

The biggest drivers of the overall result are low voter turnout, predicted to be around 64% nationally, enormous turnout in suburban areas and low voter turnout in townships and rural areas.

The ANC's tally of 57.1% represents a dramatic drop in support of more than 12 percentage points since the party's high-water mark under former president Thabo Mbeki in 2004, when the party enjoyed electoral support of 69.69%.

I made that prediction in January

Corruption will never end and ANC will fight tooth and nail to hold power

And VF grows ? 🤭

Forgot to mention that ANC declines the most....

FreedomFrontPlus insurgence show the rise of right wing in SA. They are increasing voters because of their fight against the land unfortunately this won't go away, the country must deal with it know.

Poor DA

It's funny how we see that election after election it's always the most fcked provinces that give the ANC the highest %age of the vote. Do these people just sleepwalk from one election to the next to make their mark without knowing that things will never get better under the ANC?

It seems we will more than double our 2014 votes. Im looking at 14-15%

ANC declines u it should be captured that way

ANC will still garner over 60% yet. Few can be surprised that the DA lost support and are on a steady slide to irrelevance.

DawieScholtz The ANC also declines.... from 62% to 57%.... that is if I'm going according to your predictions.

What I've seen thus far projections, predictions against actual counts, none are even close to the numbers that went flying around before elections, so I rather wait on life upfates

59 or 60.5 to anc

Eish! 57%! Talk about a knife-edge bet, DawieScholtz .... You either like living close to the edge or are a statistical guru!

DawieScholtz Very curious about DA-support amongst blacks, to the extent that that is measurable? Am happy with DA shedding to VF+, especially if it is starting to grow amongst blacks. That is an excellent swop imho. 😁

DawieScholtz Simply look at the results of the CSIR model. The final results will be within a decimal points of that

It's better stay

that's how we wanted it to be

International observers praise IEC, but ANC & DA in WC not happyThe IEC in the Western Cape is dealing with an avalanche of complaints, lodged mainly by the DA and the ANC, over the unavailability of ballot papers at a number of polling stations, with both parties claiming this has cost them votes. Perception is that the IEC was not fully prepared for this elections International observers only come to the country to enjoy South African beef and the good wine. How can they praise the IEC when some voting stations had no ballot papers. When some people voted more than once? They must go to hell man. The ANC controlled IEC messed up.
