A community leader in Newlands East says they need more workforce to fight crime ECR_Newswatch KZN

A man is said to have approached the child and his friends on the street.Police are investigating a case of murder. No arrests have been made.READ:He's called on community members to take back their streets and report criminal activity.

"We do understand we have certain issues in the area due to speculation of the drug war or turf war, but regarding this child getting shot, it's a major shock for the community. "It doesn't make sense, this family doesn't seem the type that is around any form of turf fighting or drug relations. This is a huge speculation, so huge investigations need to fall into place."
