ActionSA Leader Herman Mashaba is upset with the three parties in the MPC; the DA, FF Plus and the IFP for holding a meeting outside of the pact.

JOHANNESBURG - While ActionSA seeks to hold its Multi-Party Charter partners accountable over its suspicion that they might want to work with the African National Congress , the Freedom Front Plus says that the agreement is over. This was an attempt to formally dissolve the pre-election agreement. The party, led by businessman Herman Mashaba is also upset with the three parties in the MPC; the Democratic Alliance, FF Plus and the Inkatha Freedom Party for holding a meeting outside of the pact.

Wouter Wessels from the Freedom Front Plus said that there was nothing untoward about the meeting, adding that it is important to consult and make responsible decisions. "There are no attempts to go to the ANC with an offer. What is simply currently taking place are various options." Meanwhile, the DA said that it says it appears that some in the MPC are willing to sit back and allow the ANC to partner with the Economic Freedom Fighters and the uMkhonto weSizwe party.

It said that sensible parties will consult the party’s structures and its partners to find the best way to avoid its so-called 'doomsday coalition' from happening.
