Acting chief justice Raymond Zondo has seemingly called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to take action against tourism minister Lindiwe Sisulu for 'insulting the judiciary'.

According to Zondo, Sisulu's article was “rich in insult but very poor in substantiation and in any analysis because it does not refer to any judgments that judges have given which have been analysed to produce the conclusions that she produces”.The judiciary was not saying that it could not be criticised, Zondo said, but Sisulu's article could not be classed as criticism.

“It is very important in this country that we draw the line on conduct that is acceptable and conduct that is unacceptable.“As I said, we as the judiciary do not say we should not be criticised but criticism should have proper basis. Ms Sisulu has insulted us. And we as the judiciary have done [nothing] other than doing our job,” Zondo said.

WATCH LIVE | Zondo responds to opinion piece by Lindiwe SisuluActing chief justice Raymond Zondo is addressing the media in response to an opinion piece attributed to tourism minister Lindiwe Sisulu. Like in the StateCaptureInquiry when he ran to the constitutional court, he uses the media. He is prone to abuse his powers... And we find this alright that a judge respons to an opinion piece? Is it that the judge is meant to keep silent and only focus on judging what is presented to them.. There is no greater joy than having financial stability and a life free of debts, that’s why I keep tweeting about williamchurch09 it has been a pleasure collaborating with you...there is no other way I can show my appreciation other than tweeting the good deed you have done.

His emotion are of a pregnant woman, now his calling his lap dog to discipline Lindiwe. It’s a trap, Cyril must ignore the temptation. He must just open page 1 of The Road to Polokwane Zondo said the OCJ_RSA will not tell CyrilRamaphosa what to do to Mrs Sisulu. Don't spread fake news We are tired of this judge with his emotions. Can we trust such people to be transparent when addressing issues. Everyone is free to voice his/her own opinion. Why is he acting like God who can't be criticized, are we in a democratic country or not?

Her true zupta colours are showing LindiweSisulu EFFSouthAfrica are right, some Judges think they are G-ds, Lindiwe Sisilu is still entitled to her own opinions. Hebana! Where is 'take action' coming from now.For Goodness sake in a democratic country we even have seen people talking shit about Presidents.Who is Zondo kanti?

zondo is desparate for a chief justice position which he already secured when he arrrested president Zuma. How are those words… equal to INSUTS 'seemingly called on president' You reading his mind now, Zondo never said that

IN QUOTES: 'Insulted' ACJ Zondo fires back against Lindiwe SisuluIN QUOTES: 'Insulted' ACJ Zondo fires back against Lindiwe Sisulu Hell hath no fury like an Acting Chief Justice scorned - and Raymond Zondo has reacted FIERCELY to Lindiwe Sisulu's criticism.

One is reminded of the movie face off when John Travolta tells Nicholas Cage that his side has got the ball. Judiciary is captured by cyril and his cabal..... Don't be surprised if Minister Sisulu is put into prison for 15 months without trail. SA judiciary can be ridiculous Is he God? Wow!!!! Apartheid tendencies are in full swing, we slowly taking a route to autocratic state mmmmhhhh

History is against him , action means serious political elevation for her Eliminate the competition to avoid PAYOLA presidency🚮 So trials have been replaced with press conferences where judgements are delivered Hey Mzondwana, ours is a constitutional democracy, not a judiciocracy. Separation of powers, anyone? Judicial overreach, someone?

LISTEN | 'This is an insult,' says Zondo of Lindiwe Sisulu criticismActing chief justice Raymond Zondo addressed the media in response to an opinion piece attributed to tourism minister Lindiwe Sisulu on December 7 entitled: “Hi Mzansi, have we seen justice?” We are so disappointed by the minister statement Raymond is not the Constitution of RSA, he must just keep quite like everyone. his personal view does not represented South Africans and judiciary but his personal ambitions . Misguided Political Campagne for Presidency...🤣🤣🤣

She wrote the article in what capacity; minister, anc member or ordinary citizen? We headed for disaster shem🎠🎡🎠 She can't help it, if she is a torch bearer of a disoriented ANC faction calling itself RET forces she was bound to compromise herself. Desperate for leadership position! If the shoe fits they should wear it

That's nonsense Nonsense!!!! Factional jaji But which part of the opinion piece that was an insult to the Judiciary. 🤔🤔 Presidents can be criticised,Polticians can be criticised,Zondo is a public servant he will be criticised as a public servant The former Chief Justice warned us about the attempt to capture the judiciary.

So Zondo is now getting involved in politics and even suggesting to the president to take action. 🤣 Is it not not state capture when he Zondo suggest to Cyril what to do? Is it not judicial over reach for Zondo to call on Cyril to take action against Lindiwe? Zondo le Ramaphosa haba tsebe polotiki fokol, I politics you dnt give your opponents such publicity. especially when they seem to be siding with the marginalized.

Lindiwe Sisulu flirting with Zuma allies by attacking constitutionLindiwe Sisulu's comments about the constitution and judiciary are not based on fact, says political analyst Mpumelelo Mkhabela. This is NOT journalism. We love her You mean the white serving constitution

If the shoe fits the should wear it And people still dont believe the judiciary is captured This is clear for all of us to see He is not God he can be insulted, we are going silenced by thus zondo

More criticism of minister Lindiwe Sisulu for her 'attack' on the judiciaryCivil society organisations have criticised tourism minister Lindiwe Sisulu for her 'attack' on the judiciary in an opinion piece published last week. “What we have witnessed under the constitution and the rule of law since 1994 has been co-option and invitations to political power brokers to the dinner table, whose job is to keep the masses quiet in their sufferance,” she wrote. Is she wrong? What kind of a criticism of the judges isn’t an “attack” on the judiciary (someone please show me an example) because it seems the moment one criticise a judge or judges then he/she is said to be attacking the judiciary or the constitution. Racists are normally disguised as civil society

'Rich in insults, poor in analysis' - Zondo responds to Sisulu's criticismZondo said the judiciary hopes Sisulu 'has the decency to withdraw the insults against African judges'. What do you expect from a Barbie Doll !? Mbaks insulted the State capture commission and said 'everyone who is bored just go to the commission and urinate' did Zondo had a press conference and address that?

The judiciary was not saying that it could not be criticised, Zondo said, but Sisulu's article could not be classed as criticism. “It is very important in this country that we draw the line on conduct that is acceptable and conduct that is unacceptable. “As I said, we as the judiciary do not say we should not be criticised but criticism should have proper basis. Ms Sisulu has insulted us. And we as the judiciary have done [nothing] other than doing our job,” Zondo said.

He said it would be acceptable if such views were being expressed by a young and inexperienced person but not by someone who has been in the executive for so many years. “That such a senior member who serves in two of the arms of the state — parliament and the executive — to see fit to insult the justices of the Constitutional Court, the judges of the Supreme Court of Appeal and judges of the high courts, particularly black judges, because she focuses on them, is most regrettable.” He said he had looked at all the sentences in the article and found no substantive facts to warrant the insults.
