JOHANNESBURG - The Motsepe Foundation has offered a 30-million-rand cash injection to help struggling university students with their fees.A lack of access to funding has often led to hundreds of tertiary students being locked out of the gates at some of the country's higher learning institutions.By the end of the universities in dialogue meeting in Sandton, the foundation handed over cheques to student representative councils totaling 30-million-rand.
The Motsepe foundation says it hopes this will encourage more financial support for students from the private sector.
