South Africa Headlines News

Just hours after health minister Dr Zweli Mkhize warned SA of a possible “resurgence” in Covid-19 cases, his ministry said on Wednesday night that 2,055 cases of the respiratory illness had been recorded in the past 24 hours.

The country has now recorded 708,359 total infections.

The ministry added that there were 85 more Covid-19 related deaths recorded in the same period. However, just eight of these took place in the last 24 to 48 hours, while the remainder were only verified since the release of Tuesday's figures.

Mkhize concerned by 42% spike in Covid-19 cases in CapeSouth Africa faces a high risk of resurging coronavirus infections that may lead to a review by the council deciding on lockdowns, after new cases rose by 42% in Western Cape province in the last two weeks, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said. How many patients died in the last 24 - 48 hours? The answer is 0. They are just itching to lock us down again for nothing. This man's is meant to be isolation yet his chopping to the media. Tats you are causing problems for us. Its literally already on its way down again he's lying/manipulating the data. That was because of an outbreak and a increase in testing that is directly proportional to the rise in cases. Average deaths in WC are now 4. eNCA SABCNews News24 stop reporting propaganda
