South Africa will be welcoming more Springbok babies this year. One of the expecting fathers, is a rugby legend who is 74 years old.

South Africa will be welcoming more Springbok babies this year. Springbok champ Pieter-Steph du Toit and his physiotherapist wife, Willemien, have announced that they will be welcoming their third child in September. Errol Tobias is expecting his sixth child at the age of 74.Pieter-Steph and his wife met in Grade 8 at Hoërskool Swartland in Malmesbury, Western Cape. Willemien studied physiotherapy at the University of Stellenbosch.

In 2014, he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury on his knee just five months before the Rugby World Cup. His father donated a hamstring tendon to Pieter-Steph a year after he made his senior Springbok test debut. This gesture shortened his recovery time by weeks, allowing him to take part in the tournament.Errol Tobias, 74, is expecting a baby his partner Ro-Andria Sylvester, 30. The former Springbok already has three sons and two daughters.

The Springbok veteran was born in Caledon in the Overberg on 18 March 1950 and attended the local school. He was theto start a test match for the Springboks, when they faced Ireland at Newlands in 1981. Tobias retired from rugby in 1984 at the age of 34, having played 15 times for the Springboks., “I love being a mom. Being a mom is so many things at once, I can’t describe it in one word, but it’s the best thing ever, also the hardest thing ever”.in June 2024.
